The Cornerstone Touch

I can't believe we've been in school over 3 weeks. The children are learning quickly. Our school is now a Cornerstone school and I'm amazed that my kindergarteners can discuss schema. They actually grasp the meaning: everything they know about. I read Reading with Meaning by Debbie Miller this summer and I'm reading it again. We will go slowly, but I'm excited about the opportunity to learn more and become a more effective teacher.
