My last two posts have been about my guided reading approach in kindergarten. This is an example of guided reading emergent readers and response sheets.

I wanted to share a little more today about guided reading  in my classroom. I am including a generic  lesson plan form that is easy to use, you just change the name of the book you are using,  high frequency words and teaching points (based on Common Core standards). I use the Beanie Baby reading strategies. Can Do Kinders blog has a great download you can print out for use in your classroom. There are many out on the web, Pinterest has many boards devoted to Reading Strategies for emergent readers.
